Are your products truly organic?

Yes, our products have been certified 100% organic by the USDA and we proudly display the seal on our packaging, with the exception of our Hyaluronic Acid Serum (which is still organic, and made with natural, plant-derived ingredients, however the formula could not be 100% organic as a "certified organic" version of Hyaluronic Acid itself does not exist).

We truly pride ourselves in achieving the USDA certification and using only the finest naturally derived plant-based ingredients we can find.

What is USDA Certification?

The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) organic seal and certification is THE gold standard in organic skincare.

This is the only seal that ensures that skincare products are 100% organic, up to the standard of food rulings. That means our USDA-certified products are as pure and clean as the organic fruit you buy in your local organic supermarket, and were organically farmed without the use of synthetic preservatives, petrochemicals, ionizing radiation or pesticides.

The reason it is so important to look for the USDA seal on your beauty products is because the beauty industry is not regulated by the government or FDA. Unfortunately many companies write “organic” or “natural” on their beauty or skincare products to market to unsuspecting consumers, even if only 5% of the ingredients are really natural or organic and the rest contain potentially harmful chemicals. Without the USDA seal on your beauty product, no government agency is ensuring its safety or purity.

Do you test on animals / are your products Vegan?

Our line is 100% cruelty free and we do not test on animals whatsoever.

We love animals, and it is very important to us that we uphold this ethical standard and do not purchase from suppliers who are unable to prove they are also cruelty-free.

We cannot consider all of our products as Vegan, however, as our eye cream contains beeswax and our face oil contains bee propolis - an ingredient that has been used as a natural healer and restorative compound for over 5000 years. While honey, royal jelly, and beeswax are all made by bees themselves, propolis is a naturally occurring substance in flowers that bees seek out and harvest.

You can read more about the use of beeswax and bee propolis in our products by reading our blog post about it.

    Are your products fragrance free?

Yes, all of our products are fragrance free, and the scent comes from flowers and the botanical ingredients used - not chemicals :).

Where do you make your products / source your ingredients from?

All of our products are handmade in small batches at our facilities in Canada, and are sourced from organic farmers and suppliers in North America, Europe, South America and Southeast Asia.

What is the shelf-life of your products?

We make our products fresh from scratch in small batches. Since our products are truly all-natural and organic and we do not use any unnatural preservatives of any kind, so our products do have a shelf life - typically 12-18 months unopened.

Once opened, we recommend using our products within 6 months due to their organic nature. If our products are kept out of direct sunlight and at room temperature or below, they will retain freshness and vitality.

In the rare case that you purchase one of our products and you feel that it is not at its freshest point, please email us so we can handle this on a case-by-case basis. See our Contact page for email addresses.

    Are your products Gluten-Free?

Yes, all of our products are gluten-free and do not come into contact with gluten during production.

Is it safe to use your products alongside Retinol products?

Yes, all of our products are ok to use with Retinol products.

At this time we do not have any products that contain SPF - if you use an SPF (which you should!) apply that after the facial oil and before the moisturizer or makeup.

What order do I apply the skincare products in?

After cleansing and toning your skin, we recommend applying our Hydra-Glow Hyaluronic Acid Serum, followed by our Bee-Radiant Face Oil and SKINourish Eye Cream. We suggest waiting 3-5 minutes for the oil to soak in before applying your makeup or layering on an SPF or any moisturizer (if needed).

How do I apply the facial oil? Can I wear makeup over facial oil?

Our face oil may be used after cleansing and toning, morning and night. Your face does not need to be completely dry to apply face oil, as it is in fact, helpful and promotes fast absorption and spreadability if your face is slightly damp, or if you have just applied a non-oil based serum like our Hydra-Glow Serum.

If you use the right amount of oil, you may not need to use another moisturizer or apply primer before your makeup (unless you have dry skin, which in that case we recommend applying our SKINoursh Moisturizer).

Let your skin absorb the oil for 3-5 minutes before applying makeup, as the oil does need time to soak in.If your skin feels too oily after this, your are using too much facial oil. The oil should absorb in fully and not leave any greasy / oily feeling at all. Most people need 2-5 drops, but please adjust accordingly to your skin type.

My skin has been looking worse, why is that?

Switching to a simple, holistic, plant-based organic skin care routine may result in the releasing or ‘purging’ of accumulated impurities. This process is natural and temporary, and allows your skin to release built up synthetics, preservatives, and toxins. How long this takes depends on your individual situation - your health, diet, digestion, stress and prior skin care choices.
